It’s summer here in Australia and despite the fact that I was looking forward to the warm weather, I’m still very much a winter girl at heart. That’s why I’m already over the heat, even though we’ve only had a handful of hot days this far.
So to pretend Christmas is synonymous with winter in the Southern Hemisphere (I wish!), here’s a cold weather outfit I shot on my birthday last year but never posted here. By the way, I must confess I still have a lot of unpublished content I created while I was on a blogging hiatus – it’s ridiculous.
Last winter I essentially lived in variations of this outfit. I was about to start my final semester of uni and had been working a lot, so creativity took a backseat and this became my uniform for a few months. On the day of my birthday we went to Kryal Castle, a medieval adventure park about an hour away from Melbourne. It was freezing, so layers were a must, but even the cold didn’t stop my inner 15-year-old self who loved Lord of the Rings from having a blast. I turned twenty-three that day but felt like a teenager the entire time I was there. It was one of my favourite birthdays ever.
