The best thing about living in the Southern Hemisphere is being able to know what the main hits will be next season just by checking out what’s currently trending on the other side of the globe. One of the things I’ve been watching out for is the white shirt with blue pinstripes. There’s been a few of them around this summer, but by the time autumn comes around they will probably be everywhere. Sleeveless or with long sleeves, with extra ruffles or some embroidery… You pick!
I love the style because I feel like it’s a dressier take on the pyjama trend. If you’re like me and haven’t been able to fully embrace the idea of wearing satin co-ords for a night out, this shirt will definitely be more up your alley. While the pinstripes give off loungewear vibes, the cut makes it a bit more sophisticated. You can wear it with pants or even over dresses – it’s really easy.
I had my eye on a few, so when Romwe offered to send me one of their pieces*, it was a no-brainer. I knew I had to have this gorgeous embroidered version because it’s exactly the style I wanted with the added bonus of a 70’s touch. What could be better? It’s made of a really thick fabric that will be perfect for when it gets a little colder. I paired it with jeans, a cute vintage bag and red shoes for an extra touch of whimsy, and voilá! – one of my favourite outfits of late. ❤️
