[EM PORTUGUÊS]

In my quest towards perfecting my personal style I’ve come to realise that the only way to truly evolve is by going out of your comfort zone. The best way I know how to do this is by trying on things I may not have thought would work for me. Case in point: this wrap dress. I saw it hanging on a rack at Dotti, thought it looked more “meh” than cute but decided to take it to the changing room with me anyway.

I have been lusting after a wrap dress ever since the Gilmore Girls revival came out, because the protagonists rocked so many of them I lost count. It made me realise that wrap dresses can be super cute for younger women too, because up until then I used to dismiss it as an older lady kind of style. I instantly felt like Rory Gilmore herself when trying on this little Dotti number, and now I can say I understand what the wrap dress hype is all about. Taking five minutes to put on something I usually wouldn’t go for paid off big time because this is now one of my favourite pieces in my entire wardrobe – so much so I decided to wear it to my family’s traditional Christmas Eve party.
