Thinking about booking a personal styling session or colour analysis, but still have a few questions? You’ve come to the right place!

I’ve answered some of the most common questions about my styling services in Melbourne, what to expect during your appointment and how we can work together.

Personal Styling Services

What’s the difference between The Wardrobe Edit, The Shopping Edit and The Complete Edit?

Each service is designed to address different styling needs.

The Wardrobe Edit (AU$597) focuses on making the most of the clothes you already own. We’ll declutter, organise and create new outfit combinations, and you’ll receive a personalised digital lookbook and suggested shopping list.

The Shopping Edit (AU$497) is for anyone who wants help finding the right clothes. I’ll research suitable pieces and stores before taking you on a personalised shopping session tailored to your lifestyle, preferences and budget.

The Complete Edit (AU$1,297) brings everything together! It includes a personal style consultation, wardrobe edit, personal shopping session, wardrobe integration and personalised digital lookbook.

You can explore all my styling services or book a complimentary 15-minute Discovery Call if you’re still unsure which option is right for you.

Do I need to buy new clothes to work with a personal stylist?

Not at all! In fact, one of my favourite parts of personal styling is showing clients how much potential is already hiding in their wardrobes.

The Wardrobe Edit focuses entirely on your existing clothes, helping you discover new outfit combinations and identify any gaps worth addressing in the future.

If you do want help shopping, The Shopping Edit and The Complete Edit include personalised shopping sessions, but there’s never any pressure to buy something that doesn’t feel right for you.

What happens during a Wardrobe Edit?

We’ll start by discussing your lifestyle, personal style, wardrobe challenges and what you’d like to achieve.

Then we’ll go through your clothes together, identifying what works, what no longer serves you and how to make your wardrobe more functional.

Most importantly, we’ll create new outfits using the pieces you already own. I’ll explain the styling principles behind our decisions so you can confidently recreate those looks and experiment with new combinations yourself.

Afterwards, you’ll receive a personalised digital look book and a suggested shopping list to help address any remaining wardrobe gaps.

Do I need to clean or organise my wardrobe before our session?

You don’t need to have a perfectly organised wardrobe before I arrive. Helping you make sense of what you own is part of the process.

However, it’s helpful to have the clothes you’d like us to work through accessible, so we can spend more time styling and less time searching for things.

And please don’t feel embarrassed about the state of your wardrobe. I’ve seen plenty of closets, and I’m certainly not there to judge yours!

Will you tell me to throw away clothes I love?

Absolutely not! My role is to help you understand what works for your style and lifestyle, not to dictate what you’re allowed to keep.

If something doesn’t fit quite right or isn’t the most flattering colour, we can explore ways to style it differently. And if you love it regardless? That’s a perfectly good reason to keep it.

Personal style should give you more freedom, not more rules.

What if I don’t know what my personal style is?

That’s a great reason to work with a stylist!

You don’t need to know your style personality, favourite silhouettes or ideal wardrobe before booking.

Through our consultation, we’ll explore your preferences, lifestyle, inspirations and the things that make you feel comfortable and confident.

My goal is to help you develop a clearer understanding of your personal style, rather than impose my own taste on you.

Are clothing purchases included in the package price?

No. Personal styling package prices cover my professional services and the inclusions listed for each package.

Any clothing, shoes or accessories purchased during a shopping session are paid for separately.

We’ll discuss your shopping budget beforehand, and I’ll tailor the experience accordingly.

Personal Colour Analysis

What happens during a Colour Analysis appointment?

During your 90-minute colour analysis consultation, I’ll use professional fabric drapes to assess how different colours interact with your natural features.

Using the Expanded Seasonal Colour Analysis method (12 seasons), we’ll identify the colour palette that best complements your natural colouring.

I’ll then teach you how to use your palette when choosing clothes, combining colours and putting outfits together. You’ll also learn how to make colours outside your season work for you.

After your appointment, you’ll receive a digital colour palette and seasonal guide to refer to when shopping and getting dressed.

Do I have to stop wearing colours that aren’t in my season?

Absolutely not! Your seasonal colour palette is a tool, not a rulebook.

While some colours will naturally complement your complexion more than others, that doesn’t mean you need to abandon your favourites.

I’ll teach you practical techniques for wearing colours outside your palette, so you can make informed styling decisions without feeling restricted. After all, your wardrobe should still reflect your personality.

How should I prepare for my Colour Analysis appointment?

For the most accurate results, please arrive with your natural colouring as unaffected as possible.

  • No makeup, including foundation, concealer, blush, bronzer, tinted moisturiser or lip colour.
  • No fake tan, as this can alter the appearance of your natural skin tone.
  • No tinted, glowy or illuminating sunscreen. Clear, non-tinted SPF is perfectly fine.
  • No coloured contact lenses, as your natural eye colour is part of the assessment.

Please also let me know if you have tattooed or microbladed eyebrows, eyelash extensions or colour-treated hair, as these can influence how your natural colouring is perceived during the assessment.

If you dye your hair, it may be helpful to bring along a photo of yourself with your natural hair colour, but this is completely optional.

These preparations and details help me assess how different colours interact with your natural features as accurately as possible.

Can I book an online Colour Analysis?

I only offer personal colour analysis in person.

Accurate colour analysis depends on observing how different colours interact with your natural colouring under appropriate lighting conditions.

Cameras, screens, automatic exposure adjustments and differences in lighting can significantly affect how colours appear, which is why I don’t believe an online assessment offers the same level of reliability.

If you’re interested in a colour analysis, I’d love to welcome you to my Melbourne studio.

Do you offer group Colour Analysis sessions?

If you’d like to organise a colour analysis experience with friends or for a special occasion, I’d be happy to discuss the possibilities.

Book a complimentary Discovery Call so we can explore what would work best for your group.

Appointments & Bookings

Where are your personal styling services located?

I’m based in Melbourne, Australia.

Colour Analysis appointments take place at my studio in St Kilda, while Wardrobe Edits take place in your own home. Personal shopping sessions are arranged at a suitable Melbourne shopping centre.

Specific appointment locations and other arrangements, including any travel fees (if applicable), will be confirmed during the booking process.

Do you offer virtual personal styling services?

Yes, we can explore adapting my personal styling services for clients outside Melbourne.

While The Wardrobe Edit, The Shopping Edit and The Complete Edit are designed as in-person experiences, I understand that not everyone can meet with me locally.

Book a complimentary 15-minute Discovery Call so we can discuss your needs and work out whether a virtual styling experience would suit you.

Please note that Colour Analysis is available in person only.

How do I book a styling session?

For Colour Analysis, you can book directly through my online calendar, where you’ll choose an available appointment and complete your payment.

For other personal styling services, please get in touch with the package you’re interested in and a little about your styling goals.

I’ll contact you to discuss availability and the next steps.

What are your payment, cancellation and rescheduling policies?

Full payment is required before your styling session or Colour Analysis appointment takes place.

I understand that plans can change, so you’re welcome to reschedule your appointment at no additional cost with at least 48 hours’ notice.

If you need to reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, a $50 rescheduling fee will apply. This amount will be deducted from your existing booking credit, with the remaining balance available towards your rescheduled appointment.

Bookings are non-refundable for change-of-mind cancellations, and missed appointments without notice will result in forfeiture of your payment, subject to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Please refer to the booking terms provided when confirming your appointment for the full conditions.

Can I purchase a styling session or Colour Analysis as a gift?

Of course! A personal styling experience or Colour Analysis can make a thoughtful gift for someone who enjoys fashion, wants to refresh their wardrobe or would love to discover more about their personal style.

Get in touch and I’ll help you explore the available gifting options.
